This blog exists because it is my way to collect all the various tips, tricks and fixes that I have needed in my job as a Systems Administrator. Too many times I have had to search long and hard to find an answer to a technical problem. Whether it’s due to poor documentation, a software bug (feature) or general incompatibility between systems, it seems every other issue is a big to-do to solve. Many times an answer lies in an obscure forum online or worse yet, tucked away on a pay website. The most frustrating thing is discovering your exact problem, described in detail by someone’s post, and then there are no replys to the thread. Enough I say! If I can help other people by being one more website that provides answers instead of dead ends, then this site is successful. Even if it means providing one more search result that gets the information out there.
Since I am going to the effort to maintain a presence online, you may also notice non-technical posts as well. Reviews of products I’ve used and opinions are sure to find their way here. As my motto for this blog is “Share the Knowledge”, it is pretty much going to include most of my experiences in life too. Hey, maybe you ARE curious about one more person’s opinion of a product that you’re thinking of buying.
